The Police Mortgage Centre is a trading name of The Mortgage Broker Ltd.
We just want to make it easy for people to know what we do and where we are.
The business was started and is owned by Darren Pescod; you can check his Team Profile. Darren's love for customer service grew whilst he was in South Africa and he believes that the customer is King. When Darren came back to the UK he set up his own financial services business and started to build, based upon his core belief of excellent customer outcomes.
Just when Darren thought he was on to something, the largest financial crisis in history hit us, ripping through our lives like Tsunami. Fortunately (and unlike many huge financial services companies) the business survived and Darren regrouped and started to rebuild.
The company has grown since then; our Head Office is based in St Neots in Cambridgeshire, close enough to have a finger on the pulse of London, but, far enough away to hear the heart of the rest of the country. We have advisers across the UK from Exeter to Newcastle, although much of our business is dealt over the phone by the team in St Neots. We are always looking to increase our adviser base and work on a simple principle – happy customer means happy adviser means happy company.
As we have various company associations we have access to products and services that might not be available to the average mortgage brokerage where distribution may be limited. We are always looking forward and are keen to support sensible lending opportunities as they arise.
The company is only as strong as it staff and we are very proud of our team, who come from a variety of backgrounds, but, crucially, all have a huge amount of experience and share the same customer focus and solution solving attitude.
